Windsor & Eton Brewery produces 150th anniversary beer for local racecourse
6th April 2016
Windsor & Eton Brewery has produced a beer to mark the 150th anniversary of Royal Windsor Racecourse.
1866 Thoroughbred Bitter celebrates the racecourse’s 1866 founding date and will be sold exclusively in both cask and bottles during race meetings at Royal Windsor.
Will Calvert of Windsor & Eton Brewery said: “We think Windsor Racecourse’s Monday evening races are iconic in the London area and we wanted to work on a special beer.
“We think the racecourse is a great part of the community and we want to support them as they celebrate their 150th anniversary. There’s nothing like a special beer to mark a special occasion.”
Windsor & Eton Brewery has close links with the racecourse and run the Duke Street bar at the venue.
The 4% ABV 1866 Thoroughbred Bitter will be unveiled during the first flat race meeting of the season on Monday, April 11.« Back to News
