UEFA to host exclusive Champions League Final viewing parties
25th May 2018
For anyone not lucky enough to watch the action of the hotly-anticipated UEFA Champions League Final unfold from Kiev on May 26, the hottest ticket in Europe will be at London’s Sky Garden. Celebrity and partner guests will have a great view of the final and a great view of the London skyline.
Champions League winner Paul Scholes will be joined by podcast pioneer and host for the evening, James Richardson, for a Q&A session and match analysis. Ten years on from lifting the trophy in Moscow, Manchester United legend Paul will give VIP guests an insight of playing in a Champions League final.
Once the final whistle blows, Radio 1Xtra’s DJ Target will take to the stage to provide the music as the space is transformed into an exclusive after party.
With simultaneous viewing parties taking place at Shanghai’s M1NT club and Rio de Janeiro’s Jockey Club, UEFA are reaching out to fans across continents. Last year, 350 million people around the world tuned in to watch the final between Real Madrid and Juventus, underlining the Champions League’s truly global appeal.
The Champions League may be contested by European clubs, but its appeal continues to grow far beyond the continent.
The event in the Sky Garden will be attended by a number of celebrities and guests of Champions League official partners; BT Sport, Adidas, Gazprom, Heineken, MasterCard, Sony, Nissan, PepsiCo and UniCredit.
Real Madrid became the first team to successfully defend the Champions League title by beating Juventus 4-1 in last year’s final in Cardiff.
The Spanish giants have won three of the past four competitions and will contest the final against Liverpool on May 26.
