Super League 2019: Wigan Warriors begin campaign at St Helens

8th November 2018

Rugby League is back with a bang on Sky Sports in the New Year, all exclusively live.

The season, which begins on Thursday, January 31, 2019, sees nearly 200 games broadcast live across multiple competitions, including the Betfred Super League, Championship, Challenge Cup and NRL.

The matches will be live on Sky Sports Action and Sky Sports Arena.

The first game of the season sees reigning champions Wigan playing early-season favourites St Helens in the traditional opening night derby.  Then, on Friday, February 1, it’s the Hull derby followed by action from the 2018 Grand Finalists Warrington, who take on the most successful club in the era of Super League, Leeds Rhinos, at Headingly on Saturday, February 2.

Pubs and clubs will be able to show three Betfred Super League matches every week for the first five rounds of the competition live on Sky Sports, including the newly promoted London Broncos at home to Castleford in round three.
