PUB17 exhibition set for February

10th October 2016

PUB17, the exhibition for the UK pub industry, is returning to London in February, with more than 200 suppliers, a new line-up of inspirational speakers and a wealth of ideas for pub operators and publicans to enhance their businesses.

Supported by key industry bodies including the ALMR, BII, BBPA and WSET among others, PUB17 will take place on Tuesday 7th and Wednesday 8th February 2017. Designed to be the ultimate destination for networking and knowledge-sharing, this year the show is expected to attract more than 5,000 pub owners and operators.

David Fisher, PUB17 Sales Manager said: “The pub trade is an incredibly exciting place to operate. Without doubt it’s more challenging than ever before, but the challenge has been readily accepted by so many publicans who have embraced creativity and innovation to make today’s pub landscape diverse and exciting.

“Our event is designed to celebrate that positive attitude and by focusing solely on pubs, we provide a platform from which those with great ideas can impart their knowledge, and those looking for help can learn.”

This year’s show will feature a Taste Table for operators hoping to improve their offering; the Beer Writer’s Bar showcasing the best brews from around the UK; the Experience Bar hosted by key figures in the on-trade; and the Pub Garden for those looking to maximise their outside space. In addition, the PUB17 Theatre will see some of the industry’s biggest brains debating the hot topics affecting publicans while the Margins Masterclass will provide exhibitors the chance to demonstrate their products to operators.

New suppliers at this year’s show include Sekforde Drinks, Truman’s Brewery, SJL Insurance Services, Hartridges Soft Drinks and Serious Pig, while those returning following a successful show in 2016 include Fever Tree, Enterprise Inns, The Snaffling Pig Co, Charnwood Training Group, Salty Dog Brands and Cellar Trends.

Nick Coleman, Founder of The Snaffling Pig Co said: “We are returning to PUB17 because we found last year’s show to be excellent, both for networking and business opportunities. We secured a major new contract with a large pub company at the show, and we found the seminars to be very insightful. We’d recommend the show to any evolving businesses looking to develop their network.”
