PUB17 attracts record-breaking number of visitors

With less than two weeks to go until PUB17, a record-breaking number of publicans and operators have registered their place to attend. The only dedicated trade show for the UK pub industry, is returning to London’s Olympia on the 7 and 8 February, will see more than 5,000 visitors across the two days.

What’s more, PUB17 has seen an incredible increase in visitors reserving their place in advance for attendance at its free-to-attend talks and workshops. Visitors to this year’s show will have the opportunity to delve into a broad range of subjects, including:

  • How to build a team of top employees, what the new Apprenticeship Levy will do to change the current landscape and how can the trade better attract and retain employees in the ‘Building Power People’ talk.
  • Top tips on scaling up from a single site operation to become a multi-site king successfully, with panel members including Dan Shotton from Redcomb Pubs and Mark Robson from Red Mist Leisure.
  • The latest food trends and how this has affected the evolution of pub grub, and how to utilise these trends to for successful and profitable kitchen, with top pubs chefs such as Emily Watkins, Chef Proprietor at the Kingham Plough, and Paul Dickinson, Fuller’s Head of Food.

James Cuthbertson, Director of Dark Star Brewing Co Ltd, who will be on the ‘Multi-site Maestros’ panel, said: “PUB17 is a melting pot for good ideas and the opportunity to see what other operators are doing up and down the country. PUB17 will see more than 200 innovative suppliers across the two-day show, as well as host 20 free-to-attend talks and workshops. Alongside this will be a wealth of networking opportunities for visitors, where like-minded individuals can discuss and share thoughts and ideas.
