Investigate the Changing Pub Food Landscape at PUB17

21st December 2016

PUB17, the only dedicated show for the UK pub industry, is returning to London next February, with hundreds of creative suppliers, a new line-up of fantastic speakers and a wealth of inspirational ideas for pub operators to enhance their businesses.

One area that will be investigated in-depth at the show is the ever-changing landscape of pub grub – from basic bar snacks to sharing platters, and everything in-between, the pub food scene has seen a massive overhaul taking it from well-loved solid staples to dishes of gastronomic greatness.

At the show, publicans and operators will be able to discover more about how the current trend for street food can be incorporated on pub menus, as well as how to create an innovative and exciting menu that plays on the growing consumer demand for premium and personalised menu options.

Visitors to PUB17 will be able to attend a seminar session dedicated to the evolution of pub food, featuring top gastro pub chefs, as well as calling on a whole range of exhibitors to learn more about how they can transform their pub menus, and stay up-to-date with the latest trends, including:

  • Serious Pig, who want to fill the gap in the market for more premium bar snacks which can be paired with any drink, from a pint of real ale to a glass of Bordeaux, including Snacking Salami and Snackingham – packets of air-dried pork.

  • Square Pie, the UK’s first gourmet pie business who create premium pies, sausage rolls, mini pies and sides, including classic flavours such as Steak & Ale and Chicken & Mushroom, as well as Mini Pie Canapes – perfect for sharing platters.

  • Emily’s Fruit Crisps, who make deliciously different ‘better for you’ snacks that combine the goodness of real fruit and vegetables with the satisfying crunch of a crisp, including Crunchy Carrot, Beetroot and Sweet Potato and Crunchy French Bean, Sugar Snap Peas and Black Edamame

Sam Chance PUB17 Marketing Manager, said: “We really see this as a growing area of concern for the pub industry, and feel like it is something that needs to be tackled head-on. With a broad range of different exhibitors at the show, and an exciting speaker line-up, PUB17 is set to be the show to highlight how diverse and exciting today’s pub landscape is.”

PUB17 will see more than 200 innovative suppliers, a fantastic line-up of inspirational speakers, and a feast of ideas and insight for pub owners and operators to enhance their business and keep updated with industry trends. Alongside this will be a wealth of networking opportunities for visitors, where like-minded individuals can discuss and share thoughts and ideas.
