Carling and Sky Sports launch Friday night online football show

17th August 2016

Carling and Sky Sports have announced the launch of a brand new online football show, which will complement Sky Sports' new Friday Night Football programme.

'Carling In Off The Bar', hosted by Soccer AM's Adam Smith and Laura Woods, will provide fans with an entertaining look back on the week in football, alternative analysis on that evening's game and will be packed with fun football challenges and celebrity guests.

The show, which will be filmed on location in the city of one of the teams playing that evening, will be available to watch online via Sky Sports' digital and social channels both before and after each of the 10 Friday night Premier League matches taking place during the 2016/17 season. The show will also air on Sky Sports 1 at 10.45pm, following the match analysis from Jeff Stelling, Rachel Riley and guests on Friday Night Football.

Hosted at official Carling venues throughout the Premier League season, the inaugural 'Carling In Off The Bar' show will be broadcast live from Dive Bar in Manchester's Northern Quarter this Friday (August 19), for Manchester United's first home league fixture of the season againstSouthampton. The second show will coincide with Chelsea's showdown with Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Friday, September 16.

There will be plenty of exclusive opportunities for fans to get involved with 'Carling In Off The Bar' via Carling's social feeds - including live behind-the-scenes content and interviews, show highlights, Premier League ticket giveaways, football-related challenges and more. Followers can even win the chance to be part of the celeb-studded audience on the night itself; the latest updates will be available @Carling on Twitter.

Jim Shearer, Carling Brand Director for Molson Coors, said: "We're very proud to team up with Sky Sports to launch a brand new Friday Night Football TV show. There's nothing better than watching the game with your mates over a pint and this show will provide the ultimate warm-up ahead of each Friday night fixture, and the opportunity to keep the stories going once the final whistle blows.

"Whether you're going straight to the pub after work or heading home to watch the game with mates, 'Carling In Off The Bar' will be the perfect way to start your weekend."
