Caledonian Brewery unveils Autumn Red as seasonal guest ale
7th September 2016
Caledonian Brewery has unveiled the latest addition to its seasonal guest ales; Autumn Red. This 4.4% red ale is described as the "perfect beer to add to the bar as we leave the haze of summer behind and head towards the shorter days and darker nights of autumn."
The tasting notes for the beer say that the "gentle aroma of the Hersbrucker combines with sweet caramel notes from the rye crystal malt to deliver a mellow and fruitful finish."
Craig Steven, Caledonian’s Beers Manager and Beer Academy Sommelier explains: “Autumn can sometimes be a challenging time for publicans as the summer fun fades to a memory and drinkers might opt to stay indoors as the weather gets colder.
"Autumn Red is the perfect antidote to this, offering drinkers a seasonal treat tempting them to stay longer in outlet and buy that second pint. It’s the perfect match with comforting hot dishes such as game pies and sausage and mash so try suggesting it to diners alongside your autumn menu to see sales increase and drinkers spending more.”
Autumn Red is available to order on draught nationwide now.« Back to News
