BT Sport ‘bottled stars’ celebrates the exclusive rights to UEFA Champions League and Europa League until 2021
11th April 2017
BT Sport will continue to serve up the biggest names in sport, with a new deal for exclusive rights to UEFA Champions League and Europa League until 2021.
To celebrate, BT has brought to life their specially designed and football-inspired alcoholic drinks – the bottled stars - illustrating how central football is to the pub industry.
The bottles feature football talent with a twist on classic alcoholic drinks. “Rose Mourinho” is a wine from Portugal, referencing Jose Mourinho’s homeland and “Harry Champkane” is a sparkling wine pressed in Essex – a nod to Harry Kane’s roots.
To achieve the authentic style, both bottles have been designed in extreme detail to tell the unique stories of Jose and Harry. The labels are brimming with hidden references, revealing the personality of the individual that inspired them.
The bottled stars are featuring in advertisements throughout trade and digital media, highlighting the integral relationship between live sport and the pub industry.
Jon Crownshaw, Head of Marketing, BT Sport, commented: “With our continued commitment to European football, we wanted to speak directly to pub landlords about the lure of premium and exclusive live sport, and the bottled stars do that perfectly. The campaign combines pubs and football in a really fun way.”
The UEFA Champions League and Europa League continue on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights - exclusively live on BT Sport.« Back to News
